Allow me to briefly tell you about myself. Lance (Americanized version) grew up in upstate New York, near Vermont and Massachusetts in the King's former colony. A mountainside of my own, horses to ride, education in a one-room country schoolhouse and member of the local volunteer fire department shaped my sense of connectiveness to the forests, mountains, animals and Mother Earth. My time of passage lead me to the University of Minnesota, assisted by a US Navy scholarship. I liked getting some things behind me so I would be free to "get on with it". So, I graduated on a Thursday, commissioned Friday and got married on Saturday and in Pensacola, Florida for flight training by the following Wednesday. The sense of connectiveness to the sea, with all it's magnificent beauty, isolation, terror and maturing, occurred during a decade of Navy sea tours. Christmas '68, aboard Yorktown in mid-Pacific, was awe-inspiring as a part of Apollo 8 recovery. Oriskany, Ranger and Hancock followed. The latter to evacuate Cambodia and Saigon. Civilian endeavors as a salesman and truck driver followed. Hi ho, hi ho, it then was back to school I was to go. As an accountant from San Jose State, I served in the corporate arena, but bailed out, before becoming a plastic clone. I am now, happily self-employed. I and my lovely wife Kythera like Steampunk conventions (thus the phoito of us…she dessigned the hats/outfits!). I also belong to Masons and am the Temple Treasurer. Tour my castle- my interests are varied and I hope you may find something of value to take with you. Spirituality, arts, philosophy are the major themes. Welcome!
