When I happened across the Alley Cat Scratch Costume website, a star was born! Well, a "would be" star anyway. Many years experience in embroidery and cross-stitch and very little experience in machine sewing has made me brave enough to attempt costumes inspired by the Lord of the Rings movies. Some of my own designs are inspired by Tolkien' descriptions in his books. I usually try to photo my work each step, from template or sketch to finished, but I am better at doing it for embroidery work which is my "native" talent while I struggle more with costume.
