Hell Yeah!

She stood in the bathroom
teasing her hair
applying her face
suspended in the mirror's
imaginary state of grace
she cocked her head approvingly
as if to say...
"Hell yeah girl
you look good tonight,
everything's settin just right."
Then a voice down the hall
or was it in her head
touched a memory
a glint in her eye
that reflected 
another place
a warm unforgettable space
now only remembered
on silently moving lips
saying only wh...?
then a voice down the hall
brought her back round
"I'm ready to go, how about you?"
forcefully, maybe overly so
she replied as she wiped a lonely eye
"Hell Yeah!"
