Fallow Ground

Scenery, static and unchanging.
lack of motion indifferently challenging me.
Caustically deriding my lack of direction;
echoing my each and every thought.

No prescription for this dereliction,
aimlessly hiding from who knows what.
Feeble unconscious notion gives rise,
to circular, misguided, frantic motion.

So tiring to live for futures
only possible or pending.
No satisfaction found 
in friends or relations.

Can't stand it much longer
opening and closing the same old door.
To many chances and choices
for me to continue to ignore.
