Girl Scout cookie Mom Spread sheet title
Lanceslot divider

This is a simple spreadsheet designed to keep track of the annual Girl Scout Cookie sales information that will, hopefully, make life easier for the Cookie Mom volunteer (cheers are heard in the background!)  The download version is an Excel 5.0/95 workbook format with most of the data entry areas left blank.   If you have any questions, be sure to email me.

I am also available for  designing spread sheets for your unique needs.  Be sure to contact me for a quote.

HOW TO:

1. Put in your troop number in cell A1 (if not, our troop will really make out! ? )

2. Use rows 3 & 4, between columns C to L, to enter the names of the cookies (or products) for sale

3. Enter on row 5, between columns C to L, the sales price for each product. If you’re comfortable with using spreadsheets, delete the unused columns up to L. If not, leave them blank.

4. Enter the customer’s names, and the name of the girl getting credit for the sale, beginning on row 6. Continue across recording the number of each item order in the appropriate column. You don’t have to wait until all the orders are in, but enter as you get them. We’ll sort by the girls at the end.

5. Row 43 has the word insert; do not enter anything on this row. Instead, highlight additional rows down and use the Excel command to "insert row"- this will give you more lines to enter as many customers as you need. (this keeps the formula’s intact).

6. In an ideal world- you finish up with all the orders from each of the girls (yeah, right!). Now we’ll sort the spreadsheet by column B- the "seller". This way we can print out and assemble the orders when the cookies come in for each girl. Highlight everything beginning at A6 to Q last row (not the bottom totals row!). Point the mouse to the top commands and click on Data; Sort; pull down menu to Column B (you should have "No header row" indicated) and click OK. Each girl’s customers are now grouped together. Keeping the math simple- column Q is for clicking the sigma sum sign and highlighting all the customer totals in column N for each of the girls- that’s how much each one sold.

7. Use column O to enter the amount of money each of the customers paid.
