Hiya, I'm hoping you can help me. I need help in creating costumes for my film. I have written a science fiction/fantasy story which is now being turned into a film, which, as you could imagine I am very excited about! But, it is a low budget, and desperately need help. If you are agreeable, I can e-mail you a copy of the manuscript and see if you'd like to help. Time, is of the essence. I tried to e-mail you, but there seems to have been problems. I picture my Aquiaan people (Water People) to be very much like the elves in LOTR and was hoping get something very simular without copyright infringement, I do not want to break any laws. But I do want ethereal, fluidic movement in their clothing. Can you help? Thank you so much for your time. Filming is supposed to begin 31st of May 2008.I know, not much time. see my problem?

My lady,

Elen sila lumenn omentielvo.

I too have had a long love of fantasy and mythology. My favorite myth is that created by Tolkien and it is a comfort to know that others love his creation as much as I do. A replica of Hadafang is in my home along with a few other treasures from the movies.

I have grown to love Tolkien's creation so much that I am now studying the historical and mythological sources of Tolkien's creation. I recently read a book on Anglo-Saxon history in England prior to the Norman invasion in 1066. He has drawn me toward an exploration of European history and different mythologies ie I know that the culture of Rohan is derived in part from the tale of "Beowulf" which Tolkien successfully altered into a work of prose.

Your costumes look lovely and inspiring.
I suspect that when you wear them you find yourself drawn into the character as well. No doubt they bring out the best in you, my lady.

As for me. I am so short and stocky that I would have to play a hobbit or a dwarf. I just don't have the regal bearing of Galadriel.

I pray that this small missal finds you well and at peace. and that you find many friends who share your deep love and appreciation of Tolkien.
